Shoreham-by-Sea, Duke of Wellington
Good Beer Guide-listed public house on Brighton Road, recognisable by its large boot pub sign. Internally, central counter, with drinking areas left and right; bar billiards and other pub games left, darts right in the stage area. Seven cask ales were on offer at my visit. Also good ceramic signs outside for the Kemptown Brewery, and good coloured glass inside.

Shoreham Civic Centre
The Civic Centre and offices of Adur District Council, in Shoreham-by-Sea. The building dates from around 1980. There is currently (in March 2011) a proposal to close the Civic Centre and sell the site for redevelopment. The council would move to a smaller office elsewhere.

The Duke of Wellington (detail), Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex
The public house has an interesting pub sign - a Wellington boot, complete with spur! This is looking towards Southwick on the A259 Brighton Road.

The Duke of Wellington's Boot
The Duke of Wellington public house is on the A259 Brighton Road at Shoreham-by-Sea. This is an amusing change from the usual pub sign which would have had an ordinary portrait of that gentleman. Photographed from the top deck of the Worthing to Brighton bus on New Year's Day. Image]
