Hove: Sir Jack Hobbs lived here
Sir Jack Hobbs, the most prolific batsman of all time (61,670 runs and 199 centuries) lived in this house on Palmeira Avenue. Palmeira Mansions, Church Road
The name of the opulent Victorian terrace that straddles the southern entrance to Palmeira Avenue from Church Road. The building was erected between 1883-84 and forms the northern end of the Adelaidde Crescent and Palmeira Square development.
