Brunswick Terrace
This is the western segment of the terrace that straddles Brunswick Square. Brunswick was originally started in 1824 as a separate development in fields between Brighton and Hove and remained like this until being swallowed up first by Brighton and then Hove which it became part of. The terrace and square were designed by Amon Wilds and Charles Busby and are grade 1 listed structures. The nearest house in this terrace was between 1848-49 home to the Austrian statesman Prince Metternich after his deposition during the 1848 revolution in the Habsburg Monarchy.
