Gorham Avenue, Rottingdean
A residential road that runs between Image and Image that was developed in the 1960s on a former field called Mill Laine, according to Rottingdean's 1839. As the name suggests, and Yeakell & Gardner's 1778-83 shows, the rising land here was the original site of Rottingdean's windmill before it was moved to its present site on Beacon Hill in 1804.

A residential road that runs from The Green becoming a bridleway at its eastern end. It was laid out in the 1920s and intermittently developed thereafter, though the house in view, number 39, had already been built by the time of the 1930 OS map.

Behind the camera the track downgrades to a bridleway which leads north. The windmill is on Beacon Hill on the west side of Rottingdean.

Home Meadow
The name of the field according to Rottingdean's 1839 tithe map which still retains its surrounding flint walls to the south and east. Part has been lost to development on Dean Court road to the north. Beacon Mill can be seen in the distance.
