The spire of St Andrew's Church, Alfriston (The Cathedral of the Downs) can be seen in the centre of the view. The hills in the distance are The Coombe and Fore Down. Some grumpy looking black-headed sheep in the foreground.

North Road
Residential road that runs from West Street and continues as a path beyond The broadway up Long Burgh. The road was laid out around the turn of the 20th century and had Image built on it in 1908 but was not developed fully until the houses on the right were completed in the 1950s. On the left is Image with its border provided by anti-tank buoys of which there are 116 in total lining both this road and The Furlongs.

Alfriston County Primary School
Located at the junction of North Road and The Furlongs. The school moved here in 1908 having previously been located on The Tye.

Alfriston Recreation Ground
Lying between The Furlongs, The Broadway and North Road the land was purchased back in 1938 to provide recreational facilities but was requisitioned during the Second World War and did not return to the parish until 1951. It is now home to the village's cricket and stoolball teams.
