Marine Parade
Viewed from the junction with the Buckle By-Pass, the A259. Prior to the latter's construction in 1963 the old course of the A259 followed Marine Parade south towards the sea then along the front skirting the southern side of Hawth Hill before heading inland up Claremont Road. The narrow railway bridge in the distance coupled with another on Claremont Road with weight restrictions along with frequent flooding of Marine Parade necessitated the building of the by-pass. Hawth Hill is the first junction on the left with Station Road on the far left built in 1938 to serve the new station at Bishopstone.

Bishopstone Station
In many ways Bishopstone Station has had an unfortunate history, although it is perhaps lucky to have survived at all. It was built in 1938, replacing an earlier station at Tide Mills a short distance to the west, in this rather splendid art deco style designed by architect James Robb Scott. It was intended to serve a new housing development that never materialised due to the outbreak of war and is some distance from Bishopstone itself. Staff were withdrawn in 1988 and the building, although grade II listed, now has a rather forlorn appearance; passengers still pass through the old booking hall but are forced to use the footbridge to access the only remaining platform.

Linda's Store, Bishopstone Station, Seaford East Sussex
Situated in the former Booking Office of Bishopstone Station, this small store provides a newsagency and general store for people of the Hawth Hill estate and the Sunnyside Caravan Site. Linda, the manager, supports the local community by selling plants and advertising local charities. In the background, between the art-deco style building and the hedge can be seen Seaford Bay and the Harbour Arm at Newhaven.

Bishopstone Station
Built in 1938 to replace the older Bishopstone station at Tide Mills to the east and also in anticipation of residential development which ended up being delayed until after the war. The octagonal tower was converted into a pillbox in 1940 whose slits can still be seen today.
