This is named after a small island (Horse Isle) which once protruded from the nearby Southbourne Levels.

Bridgemere Road, Eastbourne
Bridgemere Road ends here on the Willingdon Levels. There is a small close - Collier Close on the left which was named after John Collier (born 1685) one time Mayor of Hastings. He also owned the Lamb Inn in Eastbourne.

Lottbridge Pump
A water pump in Lottbridge Sewer on Willingdon Level. Its mechanism is designed to start pumping water once a certain level has been reached in order to prevent flooding.
