This is named after a small island (Horse Isle) which once protruded from the nearby Southbourne Levels.

Bridgemere Road, Eastbourne
Bridgemere Road ends here on the Willingdon Levels. There is a small close - Collier Close on the left which was named after John Collier (born 1685) one time Mayor of Hastings. He also owned the Lamb Inn in Eastbourne.

Old Citroen heaven, Roseveare Road, Eastbourne
There appear to be two 2 CV's and a Diane. In France they were sometimes referred to as 'Deux Doches', effectively meaning 'Two Horsepower'.

Lottbridge Pump
A water pump in Lottbridge Sewer on Willingdon Level. Its mechanism is designed to start pumping water once a certain level has been reached in order to prevent flooding.
