Eastbourne railway station, Sussex
Opened in 1886 by the London Brighton & South Coast Railway on a spur from the line from Lewes to Hastings, this station replaced earlier versions.

An Eastbourne bus in Terminus Road
Taken in November 1969, this photo shows an Eastbourne Corporation AEC Regent V with East Lancs 60-seater bodywork dating from the early 1960s, in Terminus Road opposite the Railway Station. It is in the new livery of cream with blue lining out. Eastbourne Corporation buses began running in April 1903 between the railway station and Meads, but in December 2008, it was taken over by Stagecoach East Sussex of which Meads is now served by route 3.
