Worthing: postbox № BN11 1792, Downview Road
A relatively uncommon example of the shortlived late-1970s 'Type G' design of postbox. Its final collection times are (the rather early) 4:30pm on weekdays and 11:30am on Saturdays.

West Worthing, former pub
At the corner of Tarring Road and Downview Road. According to old OS maps, once the Downview Hotel; plaques show the logo of King & Barnes Brewery, with a date of 1928, but the main building appears to be late Victorian.

D. J. Kimpton, Greengrocers
Whilst waiting for the barriers at Image I spotted this shop opposite West Worthing Railway Station. It appears to have its original shop windows and first floor box sash windows. I wonder if the awning is still intact.

West Worthing Level Crossing
Apparently mocked as 'Britain's worst level crossing' (see http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/twitter/9081659/Britains-worst-level-crossing-mocks-motorists-misfortune-on-spoof-Twitter-account.html ), there can be no doubt that a combination of busy road and frequent train service creates a headache all round. This is, however, an example of a location where it would be extremely difficult to replace the crossing with a bridge.
