School Footpath

It pays to advertise ?
This relief plaster advert is believed to have been on the wall for more than 50 years but there is no plumber named Howell in the current local phone book. Local telephone books record Howell plumber at that address between 1929 and 1967. I am obliged to fellow Geographer, John S Turner http://www.geograph.org.uk/profile/8378 for the research into the telephone records.

Terraced Houses Fishpool
When these terraced houses were first built, the area became known as "Piano Town." This was because with their front gardens, the streets resembled pianos when viewed in plan view on a map.

Bethesda Pentecostal Church, Bury
