Peel Mills Bury
In 1920 Peel Mills was used for textile spinning and was owned by the Whittaker family. In 1977 the principal business of the company changed from textiles to property and following the closure of textile operations the redundant buildings were converted into separate industrial units on each floor. Today the company is known as The Peel Group http://www.peel.co.uk/peelholdings/index.html

Peel No. 3 Mill, Gordon Street, Bury
One of three mills originally and this one was built last in 1913. Now in multiple occupancy. I was hoping for a great view from the playing fields to the left but the trees screen it very effectively. Not an easy complex to find as you have to turn away and then back under the dual carriageway. Sat Nav would probably fail this test.
