Lostock Station
Looking along platform 2, at Lostock Station, in the direction of Bolton and Manchester.
Lostock station was reopened in 1988. A previous station here, called Lostock Junction, opened in 1852 but was closed in 1966 during the "Beeching cuts".

Lostock railway station, Lancashire
The original Lostock Junction station was opened by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in 1852 and lasted until 1966 with platforms on the Bolton-Preston line (seen here) and the Bolton-Wigan line (to the right). When the current station opened in 1988, platforms were only provided on the Preston line.
