Carved stone post by the B5235, in parish of WESTHOUGHTON (BOLTON District), Bolton Road, against garden wall of No. 234, 140m from the junction with the A6 Manchester Road, by the road, on South side of road. Lancs. CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century.

Petrol station on Bolton Road
This is now a hand car-wash (November 2009) though it looks basically the same.
The petrol prices hadn't been changed for some time.
Update: Site demolished 2015/16 and flats built 2017/18.
