Although the name is often seen with an E on the end (as in nearby Muscliffe Lane and Muscliffe Road), it is traditionally without it.

Muscliff: horse chestnut in Castle Lane West
A large tree, one of numerous of various species, along Castle Lane West along the northern suburbs of Bournemouth. The little parade of shops in the distance, right, includes a fish and chip shop and is on the corner of Redbreast Road North.

Moordown: Priory View Place leaves Redbreast Road North
Priory View Place is essentially a rear access lane to shops on Castle Lane West, between Priory View Road and Redbreast Road North, but it does have a couple of residential properties along it. It also forms public footpath M12. Here, we look along it from the Redbreast end.

Muscliff: Castle Lane shops on Muscliffe Lane corner
This parade of shops stands on a service road on Castle Lane West, by the corner of Muscliffe Lane (Muscliff, the district, is traditionally spelt without the 'e' on the end although Muscliffe Lane, and Muscliffe Road in Winton, both have it).
According to my Kelly's Directory of 1975 it comprised (left to right) a dry cleaners, a ladies' hairdresser, a chemist and a newsagent; today these are an estate agent, a hairdresser still, and the last two shopfronts - most prominent in this picture - are a fancy dress shop.

Moordown: western end of Priory View Place
Priory View Place is essentially a rear access lane to shops on Castle Lane West, between Priory View Road and Redbreast Road North, but it does have a couple of residential properties along it. It also forms public footpath M12.
Here, we look towards its western end, onto Redbreast Road North, with the Epiphany parish church looming large over us opposite.
