Winton: I wonder what these steps were for
A substantial flight of steps, complete with handrail up the middle as well as at each side, currently leads absolutely nowhere. Presumably they once had a purpose but one can only guess now.

Winton: main shopping street
The main shopping street in Winton is Wimborne Road; the shops comprising odds 293-693 and evens 292-712. Numbers above these are in Moordown, and are a continuation of this long shopping street.
The HSBC bank seen here on the corner of Withermoor Road is at number 396.

Winton: Lidl
This relatively new branch of Lidl, at 376-378 Wimborne Road on the corner of Withermoor Road, was previously a branch of Tesco, which had originally been a home and ware branch but towards the latter end of Tesco's occupancy had sold food as well.
