Bournemouth Blue Plaques: No. 29 - Flora Thompson
Most well known for her much later masterpiece "Lark Rise to Candleford", the author Flora Thompson moved with her family to Edgehill Road, Winton in 1909 where she learned her craft with the help of the newly opened Winton Public Library. It was here at 2, Edgehill Road (named Grayshott Cottage) during the family's comparatively brief occupation, that many of Flora's articles were written, literally on the kitchen table.
