Hurstdene Road is a residential cul-de-sac in Charminster, a suburb of Bournemouth.
This image was taken on a very cold December day, after an overnight dusting of snow. On the road surface, the snow had turned to slush as cars had driven over it.

Winter weather in Charminster, Bournemouth
A wintry scene on Uplands Road in Charminster, a northern suburb of Bournemouth.
This image was taken during a cold snap in December 2022. There had been a dusting of snow overnight. Cars had turned snow on the road surface into slush.

Charminster: One Stop and the ?new? Throop Post Office
When the postmistress at Image retired, the north Bournemouth area around Throop and Muscliff was without a post office until services resumed within this One Stop convenience store on 30 January 2012. The post office is now available throughout the shop opening hours - 6am to 11pm every day (7am start on Sundays).
We see it here pictured at 12:00 on Christmas Day, the only day the post office is closed - although the shop itself was open for all those forgotten essentials, from 10 till 2.

Typical 1930s pub in "brewers' tudor" style; rectangular with rooms around large central bar. Cask ale available when I visited: Greene King IPA.
