Malmesbury Park: footpath D08 arrives on Capstone Road
A short alleyway connects two long, parallel streets, Shelbourne Road and Capstone Road, and we look towards the latter. It also nowadays forms a driveway to small chalet houses that have been built in people's back gardens, just behind us.

Malmesbury Park: 63b and 65a Capstone Road
A short alleyway, public footpath D08, connects two long, parallel streets, Shelbourne Road and Capstone Road, and we are midway along it here. It also nowadays forms a driveway to these two small bungalows that have been built in people's back gardens - 63b (left) behind 63, and 65a (right) behind 65.
I think the reason for 63 being a 'b' and 65 an 'a' is that number 63 itself had already been split into flats, so 63a already exists.

Malmesbury Park: postbox № BH8 95, Bennett Road
This postbox stands outside the former Bennett Road Post Office, which closed down on 9 February 2004. After the closure of the branch there remained a Post Office-branded cashpoint, but the entire building was demolished in mid-2008 to be replaced by dwellings.

It also nowadays forms a driveway to small chalet houses that have been built in people's back gardens - the distant one to the left and two similar ones, one on each side of the path behind it.

It also nowadays forms a driveway to two small chalet houses that have been built in the back gardens of Capstone Road and one, just to our right, in a Shelbourne Road back garden.

Bournemouth Blue Plaques: No. 20 - F C Riggs VC MM 39, Capstone Road
The second of two posthumously awarded recipients of the Victoria Cross in this Bournemouth suburban street was Sergeant Frederick Charles Riggs. He was killed in action near Epinoy in 1918 and whose home was here at 39, Capstone Road (since demolished). He had also been previously awarded the Military Medal. The plaque is located on the nearest surviving house to 39, at no. 45.
