A busy Christmas Eve at Tesco
It is only about 12:30a.m., the store only having opened at a minute past midnight, and the central aisle is already in need of traffic lights to aid manoeuvrability of trolleys!
The upper floor is a recent addition, put in without altering the external appearance of the building, and houses the clothing, electrical and other non-food sections.

?Midnight mass? at Tesco
With 23 December having been a Sunday – with large stores restricted to 6 hours' trading, Tesco are eager to open their doors as soon as they are legally able, i.e. 12:01a.m. on Monday 24 December. A fair number of shoppers were waiting to oblige. Here, the inside of the store is revealed as the shutters are opened.

Waiting for a minute past twelve at Tesco
Since 23 December was a Sunday and Tesco were restricted to their normal 6-hour trading period, they advertised an opening time on Monday, Christmas Eve, of 12:01a.m.
Here at about five minutes to twelve, a fair number of people are awaiting the moment in a different kind of ‘midnight mass’.

Littledown: just before touchdown, just before sundown
Looking across the eastern suburbs of Bournemouth from Hengistbury Head just as the sun sets. A flight is coming in to Bournemouth Airport and I'm sure the passengers have enjoyed some stunning evening views of the town as they land at the end of this hot, cloudless day.
I have pinpointed the position of the photo on the Village Hotel (on Deansleigh Road opposite the hospital) which is the long flat roofline just visible bottom right.
