The garage on our left, midway along the driveway, asks not to be obstructed - no vehicles are doing so, but the wheelie bins aren't taking any notice. Christchurch Road is a couple of miles long, and the numbers on both sides have reached the 1000s at this point, though there is a jump in the numbering from the 90s to the 300s.

A quiet scene at 11:24 on this New Year's morning, the usually busy Christchurch Road very quiet with not even a bus in sight (they were running an hourly service during the daytime today). The roadway along here has been redesigned in the last year or so, with parking spaces marked as a sort of hybrid between the pavement and road, rather than the previous more traditional white dotted lines along the wider carriageways. This turned out to be the best of today's weather, with rain lasting from lunchtime right into the late evening.

The view across Harewood Avenue is slightly interrupted by parked cars, but across the road is a public footpath leading steeply between two houses to the dead end of Lascelles Road. See Image for a view up the path from the pavement, and links to further photos along the route.
