Coffee Shop and Beach House
One of those storms with a name was blowing a gale and the poor old coffee trailer was rocking about on its wheels, but still did a better cappuccino than at our hotel. The Beach House is a sort of shelter with tables where we sat and watched a hail storm come and go.

Hengistbury Head: phone box on Mudeford Spit
A red phone box nestles among the beach huts which are strung along the spit in two rows. Behind it, we can see a few people on benches at the Beach House café while the sheltered waters of Christchurch Harbour are seen to the left.

Viewed from Hengistbury Head. An idyllic piece of British seaside. Sand, sea, beach huts, sunshine, and full civilisation (pub and shops) so close across the harbour entrance.

Some of the fabulous beach huts on Mudeford Sandbank at Hengistbury Head. In the world of British beach huts, these are among the most sought after and expensive. They have been known to change hands for prices in excess of £100,000 making them some of Britains most expensive properties on a £ per square foot basis.
