Boscombe, the cement has arrived
As large houses on Boscombe Overcliff come up for sale, they are bought by developers, pulled down, and flats built in their place; in this case "6 luxury ocean-view..." Has the English Channel become an ocean without my spotting it?

Boscombe Overcliff Drive
Parking areas by the side of the coast road. The land between road and sea is more uneven than further east and there are noticeable patches of scrub. The lamppost carries the name of the road, changed from Southbourne Overcliff Drive to the east

Southbourne: postbox № BH5 250, Dingle Road
This box is in Dingle Road, just south of the Rotherfield Road turning. In the distance is Southbourne Overcliff Drive and the sea may just be discerned in the background from this point.

A Shady spot
At the top of a path from the beach to the overcliff at Boscombe. The shadows of the pine trees will be a welcome relief after climbing from the beach on a summer's day. On this Easter Sunday morning it's bright, but chilly.

Portman Ravine Zig-Zag, Boscombe, near Bournemouth
Portman Ravine Zig-Zag is a path leading from the overcliff to the beach at Boscombe, near Bournemouth. As its name suggests, the path zig-zags down the steep cliff face.

Southbourne: view towards Boscombe
A westward view along the beach from Southbourne cliffs, on a very wet and windy day - otherwise Bournemouth pier would be visible in the distance beyond Boscombe pier, which can be seen mistily ahead.
