Bournemouth: severely leaning tree at the back of Meyrick Park
Meyrick Park has a rather splendid waymarked walk right around its periphery, almost all within woodland, although some of the woodland is barely wider than the path, such as here where the perimeter fence is literally just to our right. This is therefore one of the most obvious views of the golf course, and one of these trees has developed a severe lean while the others are perfectly straight.

Bournemouth: Meyrick Park perimeter path
A small wooded area separates the twelfth at Meyrick Park golf course from the back yards of houses on Little Forest Road. This path runs through that area and is pictured the morning after Bournemouth's heaviest snow for 17 years fell overnight.

Tidy hedges in Elgin Road
A remarkable feature of large gardens and driveways is that neither residents nor visitors have any need to park on the road!

Coming out onto the main open area of Meyrick Park from one of the northern corners, we pass these two trees before finding ourselves alongside the 13th fairway. This picture was taken on the morning after Bournemouth's heaviest snow for 17 years fell overnight.
