Bournemouth: Terrace Mount development taking shape
Four months on from my previous view of this building site (Image), the lower floors of the eastern end are beginning to take shape while, to the right, the higher western section has progressed even further. The development is set to be a Hilton Hotel with a panoramic restaurant on the top (nineteenth) floor, along with the associated car parking and I believe 60 residential apartments. It is expected to be completed in 2016.

Bournemouth: postbox within Debenham?s
This postbox, of a design often found within branches of Sainsbury’s supermarket, stands on the ground floor of the Debenham’s department store. A Royal Mail collection is made at 4:30pm on weekdays (none listed for Saturdays) – not to worry if you miss that; a collection at 6 is made from Image just outside the store. The box is not included on the Royal Mail's postbox list, otherwise I would have entitled this picture 'postbox № BH2 ...'

Bournemouth: twinkling lights opposite Burger King
The illuminated interior of Burger King punctuates an otherwise dark outlook. In front of it, two trees are adorned with red, blue and green twinkling lights. We are looking from the other side of Avenue Road, while Commercial Road is the pedestrianised street which goes off up to the right.

Bournemouth: looking up the town?s only Street
Peculiarly, the borough of Bournemouth features only one road with 'Street' in its name, and here it is – Orchard Street. This bottom end is only really a footpath up to some of the car parks, between branches of Vision Express and British Home Stores. further up, it gives loading access to the backs of some of the shops but I don't think it has any postal addresses. The view from the top end, in daylight, is here: Image

Undefined warning, Bourne Avenue, Bournemouth
The sign doesn't mean Beware of exclamation marks. Such signs should have explanatory text below the sign. Here, it looks like the text has fallen, or been pulled, off. The small sign above the triangular sign points right towards National Cycle Network route 25 to the seafront.

Bournemouth: photo kiosk in Avenue Road
Passport photo facilities are often found in supermarkets and post offices but I think it's unusual to find one in a bespoke little kiosk. It stands a few yards from the Image so presumably its main intended use is for bus passes.
