New Milton: postbox № BH25 2000, Station Road
This postbox is set within the fabric of Image], on Station Road in the heart of town. It has final collection times of 5:45 on weekday evenings and 12:15 on Saturday afternoons.
The postbox reference number does not suggest that there are two thousand boxes in New Milton! A town's main sorting office or post office postbox often has the number 2000 while the others are numbered haphazardly from 1 to whatever is required.

New Milton: Royal Mail delivery office
Formerly also the town's main post office, this building remains the delivery office (sorting office, if you like) and stands diagonally opposite the Martin's newsagent which contains the current post office branch. It is still adorned with the words POST OFFICE high on the wall.

New Milton, delivery office
Although the words 'Post Office' are still affixed to the wall, this is now only the Royal Mail's Local Delivery Office. The Post Office branch relocated to the back of a newsagent/grocery store across the road. Bradbeers Departmental Store
Bradbeers is a family run department store with branches in New Milton and Romsey. It originally began as a small drapery shop in Southampton which opened in 1837. The shop was destroyed in the bombing of Southampton during World War II, and the firm ceased trading in the city. The two stores continue to run successfully.
