Gate on the Stour Valley Way, West Parley
This gate and stile are just off Church Lane. The stile has an unusual scaffolding pole construction.

West Parley, Church Lane
The historic centre of West Parley, now conservation area & rural backwater http://www.dorsetforyou.com/media/pdf/m/q/SPG14_West_Parley_Conservation_Area.pdf. Since the building of the A347 in the 1910s, the economic centre has moved to Parley Cross Image, 1km further North. The conservation area contains several fine buildings, mostly not immediately visible from the road; pity there are not more car-parking facilities off road.

Unusual monument in the Eastern wall of All Saints' Church Image Behind the grille and glass behind that is an urn, which apparently contains the heart of the Lady of Lydlinch, who endowed the church in the C14.
