Cranborne: fire station and telephone box
This rural outpost of the Dorset fire brigade is in the centre of the village, Cranborne itself being a pretty central position for the East Dorset villages. Only a traditional phone box could really be redder than the station doors!

Cranborne: fire station and former youth hostel
Here at the bottom (north) end of Wimborne Street, we see the fire station opposite, while the property to the right used to be Cranborne's YHA youth hostel. It closed around 1990.
