Wareham railway station, Dorset
Opened in 1887 by the London & South Western Railway on its line from Bournemouth to Weymouth. View south west towards Wool and Weymouth. This was the junction for the branch line to Swanage.

The train had arrived at Wareham from Swanage. It is now shunting from the arrivals platform on the north side of the station to the departure platform on the south side.

The push-pull train for Swanage, headed by an LSWR M7 0-4-4T, was the object of my trip from Weymouth, where we were on holiday. The bay platform no longer exists, and there is now a car park to the south of the station, as shown in Mike Faherty's Image], taken in July 2010.
