Poole: the Guildhall
This fine building has recently been converted to accommodate the town's Register Office, and the curved steps provide a fine position at which to have wedding photographs taken after marrying there.

Poole, Crown Hotel
Pub in Market Street, in the Old Town. Dating from 1697; bar left, with drinking and eating areas front left and right; games machine, TV, garden, accommodation. Cosy, pleasantly unmodernised: dark fittings, walls covered in pictures. Cask ale on offer at my visit: Ringwood Best. The Angel, Market Street, Poole c.1960
Dating from the mid-18th century, the Angel was once a typical 'spit 'n sawdust' type of pub in the Old Town, transformed today into a more upmarket establishment.
