Parkstone: the post office
Looking across Bournemouth Road at the rather splendid façade of Parkstone's main post office, which also incorporates the Royal Mail local delivery office around the back to the left. It is one of increasingly few main post offices to still occupy the building originally constructed for them, as many have moved to the back of other retail outlets.

Parkstone: postbox №s BH14 189/190 and 191, Bournemouth Road
This double-aperture postbox stands outside Image and is most unusual in that the two halves are numbered separately – the right hand slot is box number 189 and the left-hand, 190. It is my guess that there were previously two single-aperture boxes sited here.
Franked mail, and items too big to fit in the box, may be posted in Image, which is seen in the wall of the post office, in the background.

Parkstone: postbox № BH14 191, Bournemouth Road
This postbox is incorporated into the front wall of Image It may well have been originally the only postbox here, but there is now a pillar box outside and this box is now for franked mail and for larger items which will not go in the pillar box. It is emptied finally at 5:30pm on weekdays and at 12:45pm on Saturdays.
