Bournemouth: snowy bench and postbox
A month after we had two periods of heavy snowfall in the same week, it returned today as a sort of encore. Unforecast, we awoke to an inch or so and, though it continued snowing until midmorning, it had thawed by midafternoon all but in the most sheltered parts.

The Durlston Court Hotel as it used to be, was a childhood home of the actor-comedian Tony Hancock (1924 - 1968), who moved here with his parents in 1933 from the Railway Hotel in Holdenhurst Road.
