Bournemouth: The Roundhouse
An intriguing hotel at the Lansdowne in Bournemouth, The Roundhouse was opened in April 1969 and, though many buildings had been converted into a hotel, it was the first newly built hotel in Bournemouth since 1938. It was also only the second large seaside hotel built since the Second World War (the first was in Brighton).

Bournemouth Lansdowne (Bath Road) - the Roundhouse Hotel ca 1975
The Roundhouse was the first new hotel built in Bournemouth since 1938. It was opened in 1969 on the site of the old Imperial Hotel which had closed a few years earlier. Interesting vintage and classic vehicles passing by.

This line of four red phone boxes represents a rare survival in Bournemouth. I can think of only four other examples of a traditional phone box remaining in the town.
