Bowling Green Mill - engine house
This is often referred to as the Damart Mill but Bowling Green Mill is its original apellation. This fine building was obviously an engine house as indicated by the representation of a classical flyball governor. The stone has obviously been cleaned as the usual colour for a Yorkshire sandstone mill of any vintage is black.

Damart factory, Bingley
One of Yorkshire's iconic industrial buildings, perhaps surprisingly not listed although it is protected by the status of being in a conservation area. Properly known as Bowling Green Mill. Most of the buildings have been stone-cleaned including the engine house Image but the adjacent chimney has been left in its soot-blackened state.
