Bradford Trolleybus at Wibsey Terminus (2)
B.U.T.9611T trolleybus 799 (BDJ 87) at Wibsey terminus in High Street. The vehicle has East Lancs 63-seater bodywork dating from 1951. It used to run for St Helens Corporation, but transferred to Bradford in 1958 and entered service a year later. The route 45 to Wibsey first saw trolleybus operation on 24th April, 1955 and was converted back to motorbus operation on 31st July, 1971.

Wibsey trolleybus terminus – 1971
Looking across a patch of waste ground from Smith Avenue. Modern housing has since been built on the site. The view was taken on the last day of trolleybus operation on the routes to Wibsey and Buttershaw.
