Response (18 Sep 2025)- Officers from Bradford South have conducted continued High visibility patrols in Holmewood, Tong and Birley to tackle antisocial behaviour at prominent locations including Holmewood Social Club and The Parade. Officers from Operation Sterside and Safer Roads and Neighbourhoods have conducted Traffic Operations to target antisocial vehicle use and nuisance bikes along the A650 corridor.
- NPT officers make regular targeted patrols of Holmewood and a contact point has been set up at the community café which takes place on a Tuesday morning for residents to drop in and talk to a local PCSO and raise issues.
- Intelligence continues to be received and acted on in relation to drug dealing and cannabis cultivation and this has led to the discovery and seizure of several large scale cannabis productions which are currently under investigation.
- We are continuing work with educational partners to bring programmes to schools in the area around Knife Crime and combatting knife related criminal activity.

- Local PC’s and PCSO’s make regular patrols of ASB hotspots including the shops at Wyke and various youth congregation points around the Wycoller and Wyke estates. They have also responded to calls from the St Marys crescent areas and are working with In communities to offer support to residents who have been experiencing ASB.
- Street Surgeries have been conducted at Sal Royd Avenue and the Sed Berge Centre which were positively attended by the Public, with Police and local councillors.

Response (8 Apr 2026)- Officers from Bradford South have conducted two vehicle operations in conjunction with the council vehicle enforcement team which has led to the removal of 11 unregistered and untaxed vehicles and over 20 caravans from the ward area. This operation will continue in the coming months.

This was in conjunction with the vehicle enforcement team from Bradford Council. We have also conducted Speedwatch dates at Tong Village, Shetcliffe Lane, Westfield Lane, and Lower Wyke Lane to enforce speed and advise drivers of local restrictions.

Response (2 Jul 2026)- We have completed numerous operations over the last month and made several arrests for various offences including vagrancy. We have also issued ASB warning letters to children who have caused ASB at the store.

Increase high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot locations, including Holmewood, Broadstone Way, both shopping parades, Tyersal Lane and areas around derelict buildings, to address anti-social behaviour and drug-related offences. Work closely with residents and partner agencies to gather intelligence and support action against drug cultivation, distribution and organised drug dealing within the community. Reduce knife crime and violent offending through the promotion of the knife amnesty bin, targeted patrols in hotspot areas and the fair and proportionate use of stop-and-search powers. - Provide reassurance to local communities by maintaining a visible presence and responding to concerns around crime and anti-social behaviour.
Response (2 Jul 2026)- Officers from Bradford South have conducted two vehicle operations in conjunction with the council vehicle enforcement team which has led to the removal of 11 unregistered and untaxed vehicles and over 20 caravans from the ward area. This operation will continue in the coming months.
- NPT officers make regular targeted patrols of Holmewood and a contact point has been set up at the community café which takes place on a Tuesday morning for residents to drop in and talk to a local PCSO and raise issues. The time now is 10am but will be subject to change depending on demand.
- Intelligence continues to be received and acted on in relation to drug dealing and cannabis cultivation, and this has led to the discovery and seizure of several large-scale cannabis productions which are currently under investigation.

- To tackle ongoing Burglary and Theft From Motor Vehicle crime within the area through pro-active patrols, offering crime prevention advice to residents and taking positive action where required.
- Robustly dealing with off-road bike issues in the ward area through working alongside Op Steerside colleagues and taking positive action against perpetrators.

- To deal with speeding issues. This will be achieved by utilising partnership awareness campaigns, Police monitoring (community speed watch) and enforcement.
- To tackle reports of ASB and theft at Napoleons Filling Station. The reports include youths congregating in the area intimidating staff and customers and stealing.
