Bolton Road at Wapping Road ? 1971
Compare with the 2011 view, https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2367014 , when most of the buildings have disappeared, and Wapping Road has been resurfaced. In 2022 The Prospect was looking very forlorn with demolition likely. The photograph was taken on the final day of trolleybus operation on the Bolton Road group of services. Trolleybus 831 is one of 5 BUT vehicles built in 1949 for Darlington Corporation, later moving to Doncaster Corporation before joining the Bradford fleet in 1962 when it was rebuilt to 30 ft length with a new forward entrance East Lancs body. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. https://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
