Lead Area Sergeant: PS 2586 Dave Thompson We did: There is now a Police contact point at the Abu Bakar Masjid. This contact point takes place on Fridays at 1pm. A specific operation has been set up to tackle the issue of ASB vehicles including off road bikes, electric bikes and drivers without the appropriate documentation. There will continue to be a push around this issue, and we would encourage residents to provide the police with information as to who is committing these offences and where the vehicles are being stored. These reports can be made anonymously. |

We have been running joint operations with the council whereby vehicles being used in ASB are being located and seized. So far, 24 vehicles have been seized over the Eccleshill/Idle/Thackley wards and there are plans in place for future operations. PC’s and PCSO’s have been conducting daily patrols of Enterprise 5 Business Park and have identified numerous youths involved in ASB. Several ASB sanctions have been issued. We also have a contact point every 6 weeks with the businesses at Enterprise 5 so concerns or issues they may have can be discussed. |
| 27 Oct 2025 |
After the meeting we had officers patrolling the area to provide reassurance and opportunity for residents to approach officers for any concerns they may have. Targeted patrols, House to House and CCTV enquiries led to several suspects being identified as being involved in theft and burglary type offences. Numerous males have been arrested, charged and remanded as part of this. |
