The old school and chapel at Oughtershaw
Built in 1856, probably designed by John Ruskin for Charles Woodd of Oughtershaw Hall. The building clearly takes its influence from Ruskin's 'Stones of Venice' published a few years earlier. Converted to residential use at some stage prior to being Listed Grade II in 1989, but now looking unoccupied. There is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5542183 on the south east corner.
