Gomersal railway station (site), Yorkshire
Opened in 1900 by the London & North Western Railway on their Spen Valley "New" line from Huddersfield to Leeds, this station closed to passengers in 1953. View north east towards Birstall Town and Leeds. Gomersal station was built of timber with the platforms starting around where the trees now are, the rest of the site beyond now being a residential road.

Cafe and funeral directors, Oxford Road, Gomersal
The funeral directors occupy the former Shoulder of Mutton pub, which has an unusual history in that it sits directly above a railway tunnel, and the LNWR bought the pub in 1897 in case it fell into the tunnel workings (source: Wikipedia).
