Opened in 1900 by the London & North Western Railway on their Spen Valley "New" line from Huddersfield to Leeds, this station closed to passengers in 1953. View north east towards Birstall Town and Leeds. Gomersal station was built of timber with the platforms starting around where the trees now are, the rest of the site beyond now being a residential road.
