Eldwick Hall
Grade II listed house at Lane Head. The Hall is initialled and dated "R L 1696" (Richard Longbottom) but the first floor doorway to the right bears the inscription "IHS 1716".

Footpath to The Old Cornmill from Eldwick Hall
Fortunately the snowdrifts had formed on the windward side of the wall, in the lee of the higher ground, rather than across the footpath. The woodland on the right hand side of the footpath is not shown on the OS maps.
