Harden Park Homes
This is a development of large static caravans that are like bungalows, and are for permanent residence, not just for holidays. They are for people over 45 who want to live in the countryside.

Goitstock Mill chimney
The mill was in the bottom of the narrow valley and a flue buried in the ground ran up the hillside to this chimney so that the valley was not completely filled with smoke.

Chimney for the former Goit Stock Mill, Harden
This is what the 'Ch' caption on the OS map refers to. Goit Stock Mill was a large cotton spinning mill that was built in the early 19C but closed in the early 1860s when the business moved to Bradford. In 1919 the mill and surrounding land was sold and developed as a pleasure resort called Happy Valley. One floor of the mill became a ballroom, and another a large cafe. In the 1930s the estate was sold and eventually the mill was demolished. The site is now Harden Park Homes.

Flue of the Goit Stock Chimney, Harden
The mill was down in the valley, and was connected to its chimney (see Image) up on the opposite hillside by a flue made of stone flags, some of which have gone.
