Closed at the time of the photo due to Covid-19 restrictions. According to Watson, a landlord of this pub was recorded in 1822 so it must pre-date that.

A dressmaking and dry cleaning business in Idle. The shop unit to the left is vacant. The buildings in this photo (29-33 The Green) are collectively listed grade II (list entry 1133149) and date from c.1800.

The Green, Idle
The heart of Idle village is this meeting of roads around the site of the parish pump. There's nothing particularly green about it now, beyond a couple of trees.
