Old railway bridge abutment, Idle high street
The railway from Shipley to Laisterdyke used to cross the High Street at this point. Idle station closed as early as 1931; the line continued in use for freight until 1964 and closed completely in 1968. The course of the railway south of this location is now Idlecroft Road.

The heart of Idle village is this meeting of roads around the site of the parish pump. There's nothing particularly green about it now, beyond a couple of trees.
