Idle Upper Chapel, foundation stone
This is the foundation stone of the now-closed 1956 church, see Image for context and history. It was dedicated to Sir George Garnett (1871-1955) who as well as being a local millowner (of Castle Mills) was presumably a member of the congregation here.
