Holy Trinity, Idle - lychgate, detail
The inscribed tablet on one side of the structure reads 'To the glory of God and in ever grateful memory of the men of this parish who gave their lives for their country in the Great War 1914-1919'. There is a tablet on the opposite side with verse from John's Gospel. Beneath them, through now rather faded, are carved individual names. See Image for context.
