Sheep pasture near Knarr End Farm, Black Lane Ends, Lancashire
We are on the 1000ft contour here, and this rough pasture is only suitable for sheep, many of which are Lonks or Swaledales, although slightly less hardy breeds have also been farmed here. Knarr End Farm (left) and Albion Plain Farm can be seen on the horizon. The conifer plantation is a recent addition to the landscape here.
