Colne Cricket Club, "The Horsfield" Keighley Road
Colne Cricket Club was formed in 1830, and is therefore the oldest club in the Lancashire League, and among the oldest in Lancashire. The first games were played on the Horsfield, the same field that is used today. By 1890 the club was one of the foremost in East Lancashire, and since then has been a continuous member of the first and best of the cricket leagues - the Lancashire League. https://web.archive.org/web/20110708175630/http://www.colnecc.com/history.asp?mid=2 http://www.colnecc.com/

Heifer Lane Tram Depot, Colne.
Colne Corporation operated trams from this depot and when they were replaced by buses in 1926-28, the buses used the same depot. By the time of this photograph, it was no longer needed for bus operation, and was leased for other uses, but has now been demolished.

Mossley Street, Colne - old stone street sign
This sign is on the end wall of 110 Keighley Road, Colne. It used to be completely obscured by ivy but a recent owner of the property had the ivy removed and behold! the "street" has a name! It's no more than a side turning leading to the block's back street, so why was it given a name? It doesn't appear in Colne's street directory, nor is it named on any map. The sign is presumably as old as the houses (numbers 110, 112 & 114) which were built in the 1890s.
