Eaves Hall, south front
This large house is used for conferences and celebratory events. It was built in 1922 by Hitchon and Pickup as a private residence for a wife who dreamt of living in the country. It is a Grade II listed building of red brick and Portland Stone. The main part of the south facade is symmetrical in a Free Renaissance style, with stone quoins and cornice. The 2 projecting wings are linked by a balcony carried on paired Tuscan columns. The large tripartite central window is framed by an open pediment on paired Ionic columns. The whole style of the front gives the appearance of a much older building.
