This large house is used for conferences and celebratory events. It was built in 1922 by Hitchon and Pickup as a private residence for a wife who dreamt of living in the country. It is a Grade II listed building of red brick and Portland Stone. This shows the west façade across the bowling green. Each of the three sections is almost symmetrical. Towards the right is a doorway with a large segmental open pediment leading into a large reception room. At the centre is a long 7 light window with a semi-circular moulded head with scallop decoration over the centre. On the 1st floor above is a Venetian window with a balcony. On the left-hand section of the façade the ground-floor window to the Billiard Room is similar to that of the central section. See Image for more detail.
